Betterware has been one of the UK's most successful home shopping companies since 1928. Although best known for its extensive Homeware and Housecare cleaning products, the range has grown over the years in response to customers' needs, and now includes gifts, personal care, mobility and beauty, as well as outdoor and electrical products.
“In late 2006 Betterware decided to establish an operation in Poland, operating on an MLM basis. The core business software in use in the UK is not suitable for an MLM operation, so a number of other solutions were evaluated. FourFront was selected, on the basis of price and functionality required for a start-up company. Having the suppliers based in the UK and operating in the same timezone was also a distinct advantage. The FourFront system went live in 2007, after some bespoking for several specific requirements. Throughout that process and thereafter FourFront has been extremely supportive, flexible and responsive to the evolving requirements of a developing business.” said John Embrey
In expanding its operation to Poland it faced the legislative and regulatory challenges involved in selling in this country. The FourFront software was able to assist in tackling these challenges, adapting its standard software whereby distributors would usually pay by credit card and be paid bonuses into a bank account, to accommodate amongst other things On Account and Cash on Delivery sales, very demanding Distributor invoicing documentation, and rules on only being allowed to take 90% of bonus against an invoice for payment purposes
